Chief Strategy Officer
Angela is a digital marketing veteran who has established major Fortune 500 companies as category leaders in the digital marketing space. Working with brands such as General Motors, Oracle, Kellogg's, and Proctor & Gamble for close to 20 years, Angela's focus has been empowering companies to harness emerging digital technologies to scale their businesses and drive their marketing strategies. She has successfully built dynamic, cross-functional teams of industry experts to provide clients with the strong foundational support needed to allow them to confidently take advantage of the most cutting-edge technologies and creative offerings.
Currently, she is Chief Strategy Officer of Carat and responsible for expanding on Carat’s product and technology strategies. In 2015, Angela joined Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) as the Global Product Lead for the General Motors (GM) account. In this role, she integrated and aligned the full breadth of DAN capabilities—from programmatic media and social, to mobile and data disciplines—to effectively serve the unique needs of GM's business goals across 50 markets and eight flagship brands. Infusing digital and data sophistication across all disciplines of DAN's business, Angela has led a singularly cohesive, strategic vision that has maximized joint strategic value for GM and its media partners, under the General Motors Global Media Partnerships (GMP's) program.
Prior to joining Dentsu Aegis Network, Angela served as CEO at Ansible, Interpublic Group's (IPG) full-service mobile agency. After a joint venture was dissolved and IPG took full ownership of Ansible, Angela was brought on board to rebuild the agency from the ground up. She began by defining the agency's vision, its capabilities, and business plan to deliver aggressive growth. A cornerstone to her plan was to start by assembling a small, agile team of talented experts in the mobile field. Her approach paid off quickly, and within the first 18 months of her tenure, Ansible was a profitable award-winning agency, working with clients such as Microsoft, Kia, Johnson & Johnson, Intel, Schwab, and General Mills. By overseeing Ansible’s overall strategic approach, Angela unleashed the pioneering creativity of her team, which won them industry accolades including Cannes Lions, MMA Smarties, and JD Power awards.
Angela began her advertising career at Publicis’s Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG) where she was one of Starcom IP’s first employees pioneering digital for SMG’s range of clients. Throughout her Publicis tenure Angela was dedicated to evolving digital into various integrated media planning and creative capabilities across SMG and Leo Burnett, including advancing SMG’s planning and digital capabilities as the Global Account Lead on the P&G business.
